Hi everyone and welcome to Stampers Anonymous Blog Hop day! Thanks so much for hopping with us this month. The theme for August’s Blog Hop is a Colour Challenge. For this challenge, we were challenged to use at least two of the new In Colours. We were also allowed to team them with any other colours from the Stampin’ Up! colour families.
Here are the In Colours…
Here’s my card…
This card came about a little bit by accident. I had been playing around with lots of different colour combinations as I was thinking of making a really bright and colourful card. I then decided I might use a bleach technique for my card. I stamped and embossed in white, the floral image from the Ornate Style stamp set on Misty Moonlight cardstock. It looked so lovely so I thought instead of using bleach I might just add a highlight of white in the centre of the flowers. Well, I got a little heavy-handed and the next thing I know I had covered the whole panel. I loved the look! It kind of looks like an acid wash denim in real life. It’s so pretty (much prettier in real life)! Of course, I still had to add another colour in order to meet the terms of the challenge so some pretty hearts from the Pattern Play stamp set were the choice. I did stamp off the Magenta Madness ink a couple of times as I didn’t want it to overwhelm the sentiment (from the Peaceful Moments stamp set).
Let’s continue on the hop…
You might have come here from Kristy Davy’s blog. Next up, please hop along to Sharon Wilson’s blog. Here’s a list of all the participants:
